


It's quite mysterious why intalling the Intel Proset drivers doesn't do anything it looks like the AMT install may be needed to bootstrap the Wifi card drivers. I figure that once I get that running and connected to the local wifi network, I can do Windows Update and get most of the other drivers that I need for this system. I have the 'Intel Centrino Advanced N + 6250' card. I'm working through a related problem, trying to install a fresh Windows 7 Enterprise on an old X201. The computer was running fine, but I do not like to leave thing unresolved.
